Some entitlements are a public disservice

Entitlements for whom? Almost every other day some politician is talking about changing entitlements, mainly Social Security and Medicare. What about the entitlements of the politicians — federal, state, county, township and city — and anyone in public service who gets a retirement pension that starts at least twice the amount for Social Security retirement? Then there is medical and drug insurance they get in comparison to Medicare. What the percentage of their budgets does it cost to fund this entitlement? Let’s put all these people on Social Security and the talk about amending it and Medicare. This way everybody is in the same position.

In regards to Rick Perry, he is right that Social Security is a Ponzi scheme. One reason is that the money is put into a general fund, not a fund of its own. Same with the Medicare prescription program, mainly the doughnut hole. Both of these were supposed to be changed, and it never happened. Who is running these programs? Why, it’s the federal government. And what do you do with those who run Ponzi schemes? You put them in jail.
