Chicago Park District holds photography contest

The Chicago Park District hopes residents want to show the city’s natural side through a lens.

The district is holding a digital photography contest to showcase different kinds of nature within the city’s parks. Both veteran photographers and novices are encouraged to participate. Categories include animals, people in nature, plants and waterfronts.

Participants can submit photos to a Flickr group page until the end of October. Contest winners could have their work exhibited at several Chicago Park District cultural centers.
