Elgin service club’s fundraiser set for Zanies

The Altrusa International Club of Elgin will hold “A Night at Zanies” fundraiser at 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 20, at Pheasant Run Resort, 4051 E. Main St. in St. Charles. Doors open at 7:15 p.m.

Admission price is $25. There is a two-item minimum purchase required during the show. Those attending must be 21 years old and older and have valid photo identification to enter. A 50/50 raffle will also be held at the event.

Proceeds from the event will benefit local nonprofit organizations. Tickets must be purchased in advance through the Altrusa International Club of Elgin. For information contact Mary Kirkman at (847) 741-4315.

“We look forward to an evening of fun with the purpose of raising funds for our local nonprofit organizations who are seeking help in these tough times,” said Nancy Gerner, club president. “The Altrusa International Club of Elgin has a rich tradition of giving back to the community.”

Altrusa International Club of Elgin Inc. is an international service organization comprised of executive and professional women. The Altrusa Club of Elgin sponsors a number of projects in the community through volunteerism and monetary support. The club has honored a woman, who resides in the greater Elgin area and has made outstanding voluntary contributions to the local community, with a Woman of the Year recognition dinner celebration since 1950.

Altrusa International Club of Elgin members reside throughout the Northern Fox Valley area, including Elgin, South Elgin, Bartlett, Dundee, Sleepy Hollow, Carpentersville, Algonquin, Bartlett, Hampshire, Huntley and Pingree Grove.
