DCFS investigating death of 3-month-old Hoffman Estates girl
The Department of Children and Family Services is investigating the death of a 3-month-old Hoffman Estates girl who was found unresponsive in her home early Wednesday morning.
The child was pronounced dead shortly after at Alexian Brothers Medical Center in Hoffman Estates, according to the Cook County medical examiner's office.
A Hoffman Estates police official confirmed that the department is investigating but could not provide details late Wednesday.
“We have had no previous investigations of the family,” spokesman Kendall Marlowe said.
Marlowe said there are no other children living in the home.
