Missing python found under truck hood in Joliet
The hunt for a pet snake in Joliet has ended — in a neighbor’s truck.
The Herald-News in Joliet reported Monday that the 6½-foot python was gone about two weeks when the truck’s owner lifted the hood of his truck parked in his driveway and found it coiled around the carburetor.
Officer Michael Reilly says the non-poisonous snake had taken refuge under the truck’s hood because it was apparently nice and warm under there. The driver called 911. Reilly says it took about an hour to unwind the snake.
The snake was returned to its owner.
