Suburban Realtor organization appoints co-presidents

The Mainstreet Organization of Realtors, based in Downers Grove, has appointed Jack Persin, president and managing broker of Ryan Hill Realty in Naperville, and Tom Krettler, broker associate of RE/MAX Unlimited Northwest in Palatine, as co-presidents for the organization's 16,000 members.

The association covers all of DuPage and Lake counties, suburban Cook County and portions of Will County. Persin previously served as president-elect of MORe, and Krettler as president-elect of the Realtor Association of Northwest Chicagoland.

RANWC will merge with MORe on Oct. 1, making MORe the largest local Realtor association in Illinois, and the fourth largest in the nation. The move will allow MORe to continue to deliver the same resources and training to its members without an increase in dues, Krettler said. For RANWC members, dues will decrease.

"MORe's new presence will allow us to better serve members from our six offices located across the Chicago suburbs," said Krettler.

MORe's increased size will allow the group to more vigorously advocate for homeowners and fight against taxes and regulation on the local, state and national level.

Despite the organization's growth, however, Persin says the individualized service MORe members receive will remain unchanged.

"At the end of the day, it's about how you treat people," Persin said. "We will continue to make member service our number one priority."
