Brazil to fine shell, maersk, galp, Sonangol on content rules
Brazil’s oil regulator, known as ANP, will fine Royal Dutch Shell Plc, AP Moeller-Maersk A/S, Galp Energia SGPS SA and Sonangol SA a combined 50 million reais because of failure to meet requirements to use locally manufactured equipment.
Marcelo Mafra, an official responsible for the local content rules at the agency, commented on the fine in an interview in Rio de Janeiro today.
