Pitching matchups: The White Sox’ Dylan Axelrod (0-0) vs. Dustin McGowan (0-1) Monday at 7:10 p.m.; Mark Buehrle (12-9) vs. Henderson Alvarez (1-2) Tuesday at 7:10 p.m.; Phil Humber (9-9) vs. Brandon Morrow (11-11) Wednesday at 1:10 p.m.

At a glance: This is the final series of the year for the White Sox, and it wraps up one of the most disappointing seasons in franchise history. Buehrle is headed for free agency, so Tuesday might be his final start in a Sox uniform. The White Sox are 1-3 against the Blue Jays this season and have lost 22 of their last 28 vs. Toronto. Mark Teahen has started only four games for the Jays since being acquired from the Sox in a July 27 trade.
