Ind. State Police seize millions in cash, cocaine
ROSELAWN, Ind. — Indiana State Police say officers in the drug enforcement section found nearly $2 million in cash and 50 pounds of cocaine during a recent drug raid in northern Indiana.
Police said Thursday the cocaine had an estimated street value of $10 million.
The drugs and money were seized Sept. 7 when officers served a search warrant in Roselawn, about 50 miles southeast of Chicago.
Police also confiscated firearms, a bullet proof vest, two pickup trucks, a tractor trailer and four trailers.
The money and property were seized by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. The vehicles were seized by state police.
Five men and two women were arrested on drug charges in connection with the raid.
