U of C Medical Center gets $42 million gift
The University of Chicago Medical Center is getting a $42 million gift that’s designed to help improve doctor-patient communications.
The university says the money will be used to create the Bucksbaum Institute for Clinical Excellence. The institute will focus on teaching medical students and doctors to better help patients make informed decisions about their treatment.
The $42 million is being donated by the Matthew and Carolyn Bucksbaum Family Foundation.
