Arlington Hts. guilty of overbuilding malls
Being a resident in Arlington Heights for over 30 years I have watched with dismay the village permitting the overbuilding of strip malls when many malls were sitting empty or under utilized.
The village has basically created a suburban blight in many areas with their lack of oversight and poor judgment.
When in the past I would call the planning department expressing concerns I was told they had tenants. Now walking by the empty South Point mall on Rand Road and further west on Rand Road more empty malls, it makes me sad to think how lovely this area was at one time.
