Skeet shooting for Grayslake youth:

The Oasis community youth center in Grayslake will host a skeet-shooting fundraiser. Dubbed Shooting for the Stars, it’ll be from 4:30 to 9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 7 at Northbrook Sports Club, 160 Sports Club Drive, Hainesville. Participants must be 21 and older. Tickets for the Shooting for the Stars event are available for $100 per person and include 100 clays, refreshments and a full dinner. Guns, ammunition, safety equipment and field safety training are also provided and included in the ticket price. Mandatory field safety seminars will be in 20-minute increments beginning at 4:30 p.m. before shooting sessions. Participants are asked to purchase tickets for this event on or before Sept. 30 to accommodate planning needs of the Northbrook Sports Club staff. Dinner-only tickets may be purchased for $45. Tickets may be purchased online at oasisgrayslake.com, at Joyce D. Campbell Insurance Agency, 35 N. Whitney St., Grayslake, or at The Vine, 101 Center St., in the village’s downtown.
