Arlington Hts. offers flu shots:

The Village of Arlington Heights will offer flu shots, to ward off seasonal influenza, by appointment only, from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 27 and 1-3:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 28 at the Arlington Heights Senior Center, 1801 W. Central Road.

Call (847) 253-5532 for an appointment after 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 20.

The vaccine is injectable and approved for ages 3 and older, with some vaccine having trace amounts of thimerosal.

Cost is $20 and is billable to Medicare for those with Medicare Part B as their primary insurance. For children under 18 the cost is $10. Call the Arlington Heights Flu Shot Hotline at (847) 368-5770 or the Arlington Heights Department of Building and Health Services at (847) 368-5760.
