Buffalo Grove man pleads guilty to sexual assault

A Buffalo Grove man was sentenced to five years in prison in exchange for pleading guilty to fondling a teenage girl over a one-year period.
A Cook County judge also ordered Phil Kalas, 43, to register as a sex offender and pay $1,315 in fines, court records show.
Kalas, who had no prior criminal history, received credit for the 141 days he has spent in custody since his arrest. He must complete at least 50 percent of his sentence before he is eligible for parole.
