Why doesn’t state befriend business?
Did you read Barron’s recently? Their headline ”Best and Worst Run States”: “As more states begin to get their finances in order, the outlook is brightening for municipal-bond investors. Hope for Wisconsin, Indiana and New York. Not so for California and Illinois.”
Darn, while we led the nation in lost jobs in July, we were only No. 49 in worst-run states. California beat us, but with the governor and legislature we have, I am confident we will be last soon.
Why not cut personal and business taxes, balance our budget, and turn this mess around? Why not lessen the influence of government unions like Wisconsin and Ohio? Why don’t we become business friendly?
