Show Off Your Skills at Second Annual Skateboard Competition

The Batavia Teen Center will host the second annual Skateboard Competition on Sunday, September 18 at the Blackard Skate –n- Bike Park, 411 S. River St. Registration will begin at 10:00 a.m. on site, and the competition will begin at noon. The registration fee is $10 in advance or $15 day of. Forms are available at the Park District Civic Center, 327 W. Wilson St., or the Eastside Community Center, 14 N. Van Buren St.

Entry categories will include beginner, intermediate and expert. Participants will perform a one minute run in their respective category and be scored by a panel of judges. Prizes will go to first, second and third place in each category. Participants can also enter the best trick contest.

The event will include an open skate prior to the event, music and concessions. A rain date is set for Sunday, September 25. The Skateboard Competition is sponsored by the Batavia Teen Center, the Batavia Park District and Choice Skateboards.
