Pitching matchups: The Cubs’ Rodrigo Lopez (4-6) vs. Dontrelle Willis (0-5) Monday; Ryan Dempster (10-11) vs. Mike Leake (11-9) Tuesday; Casey Coleman (2-7) vs. Johnny Cueto (9-5) Wednesday; Randy Wells (7-4) vs. Homer Bailey (8-7) Thursday. All games 6:10 p.m.

At a glance: The Cubs took two of three last week from the Reds, who are trying to make a late-season push to reach .500. Willis worked 7 innings against the Cubs on Labor Day but took the loss. Leake worked 9 innings last Tuesday but gave up a pinch homer to Bryan LaHair to lose the lead in the ninth inning of game the Reds won in 13. The Reds’ Joey Votto entered Sunday fourth in the NL in batting average (.318). Cueto was second in ERA (2.36). Dempster takes 176⅔ innings into Tuesday’s start as he tries to reach 200 innings for the fourth straight season.
