Palatine police to check seats
The Palatine Police Department will host a free child passenger safety seat check 9 a.m.-noon Saturday, Sept. 24, at the department, 200 E. Wood St. Certified police technicians will conduct the checks for the general public. Palatine residents may also schedule a safety seat check appointment during the year with the crime prevention office at (847) 359-9061. According to reports, most child car seats are not correctly installed, and parents, grandparents and anyone else who transports children are encouraged to have the child’s safety seat checked for proper installation.
