When: 9:30 p.m., today

Where: Staples Center

TV: Comcast CN100

Last time: On Thursday, the Sky lost to the host Minnesota Lynx, 78-69; on Tuesday, the Sparks lost to the visiting San Antonio Silver Stars, 82-65.

Skinny: The Sky could tie the franchise record for wins in a season by closing out with a pair of wins: against Los Angeles and Seattle. In 2009, the Sky went 16-18…The best team in the WNBA, the Minnesota Lynx, dashed the Sky's hopes of setting a franchise record for wins (17) by dealing the Sky a loss on Thursday. The Sky, which has lost three straight games and four of its last six, got 17 points from both Sylvia Fowles and Erin Thorn and turned the ball over only 10 times, but shot only 36 percent from the field against the Lynx…The Sparks have lost four of their last five games and, like the Sky, have been eliminated from the playoff race. In a loss to San Antonio on Tuesday, former Naperville Central star Candace Parker was held to just 4 rebounds and 12 points on 5-of-11 shooting. Forward Tina Thompson, who is the only player in the league to have played in all 15 WNBA seasons, had 18 points against the Silver Stars. This is the season finale for the Sparks.

Next: Sky at Seattle Storm, 8 p.m. Sunday
