Sept. 11 fundraiser:
The Warren Youth Football program will host a fundraiser during games this weekend to honor police, fire and EMT personnel for the Sept. 11 anniversary. Red T-shirts will be sold for $10 each and the proceeds given as donations to fire and police departments as a show of gratitude, said Bill Verzal, the league’s communications director. Additionally, any police officer or firefighter can get the words “Local Hero” added to the back of their T-shirt. All games are played on the Warren Township High School football field.
