US civilian killed in Afghanistan
KABUL, Afghanistan — The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers says that an American who worked as one of the corps’ civilian employees has been killed in eastern Afghanistan.
A spokesman for the corps said on Tuesday that the employee was killed in Kabul province but declined to give further details. Spokesman JD Hardesty says the incident is being investigated.
NATO had previously said in a statement that a civilian employee of the U.S. Defense Department was killed in eastern Afghanistan on Monday.
