Ind. Toll Road suspends road projects for holiday
GRANGER, Ind. — The company that operates the Indiana Toll Road has suspended all road projects through the Labor Day weekend.
The ITR Concession Co. says it has removed all mainline lane restrictions during the Labor Day weekend to ease travel during the unofficial end-of-summer holiday. Construction projects will resume Wednesday.
The Toll Road operators say two lanes in each direction in northwest Indiana will remain open throughout the third-lane expansion project from mile marker 10 to mile marker 15 to allow the flow of heavy traffic. State police advise that work zone speed restrictions will remain in place and enforced for those areas.
