Software company plans central Indiana expansion

COLUMBUS, Ind. — A computer software company says it will build a new headquarters in central Indiana and add at least 200 workers in the next few years.

Leaders of LHP Software say the new $5 million building in a Columbus industrial park will allow them to consolidate workers from elsewhere in the city and accommodate growth in its business on developing software for use in phones, hospital beds, medical devices and other electronics.

Company co-founder and CEO Ryan Hou tells The Republic of Columbus (http://bit.ly/nyuwwZ) that the new headquarters will allow its employees to work more efficiently.

He says many companies outsource specific engineering projects to businesses such as LHP rather than finding and hiring more engineers.
