Official: Driver in fatal NY bus crash indicted

NEW YORK — The Bronx District Attorney’s office says an indictment will be unsealed Thursday in connection with the deadly tour bus crash that killed 15 people returning to New York City from an overnight gambling trip.

A law enforcement official says the bus driver, Ophadell Williams, will be indicted on manslaughter charges. The indictment has not yet been made public and the official spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity. The official did not know the severity of the charges.

The district attorney’s office did not comment on the indictment.
