CKE implements Textura-Construction payment management

DEERFIELD — CKE Restaurants Inc., the owner the Carl’s Jr. fast-casual dining chain, is now using Textura Corporation’s Construction Payment Management system to electronically manage the payment and lien waiver collection for all construction and remodels of their restaurants.

“CKE Restaurants is a very important national owner client for Textura.  Their use of CPM demonstrates the value delivered to our owner clients as well as their contractors,” said Patrick Allin, Textura chairman and CEO. “CKE has achieved process improvements and efficiency gains that have led to accelerated workflow, better communication and enhanced visibility into the draw process with their GCs and subcontractors.

“CKE reduces their building risk by ensuring all lien waivers are collected and that all other required supporting documents are in order prior to payment,” he added.

David Luxton, CKE’s vice president of construction, said the system is a key component for the company’s process of developing new restaurants and remodeling existing ones.

“For us, CPM standardizes the process as well as the invoices that we receive from many different contractors working on CKE projects across the U.S.,” Luxton said. “For our contractors CPM provides efficiencies through the electronic billing and lien waiver collection process.  This automation dramatically reduces submission and approval times, ultimately expediting the exchange of payment for the lien waivers.”

Standardization and risk reduction are key components for the success at CKE.  Textura-CPM is the only solution that successfully provides a complete, robust solution to the entire construction payment management process for all participants.
