Rosanne Cash, Jon Leventhal at the MAC Oct. 7

Grammy Award-winning singer, songwriter and author Rosanne Cash along with her husband, Jon Leventhal, present an evening of selections from the Country Songbook at 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 7, on the Mainstage of the McAninch Arts Center at College of DuPage, 425 Fawell Blvd. in Glen Ellyn.

In her long career, Cash has released 12 studio albums. Her latest, β€œThe List,” was inspired by a list of 200 essential country songs given to her by her father, Johnny. It received critical acclaim and was named 2010 Best Album of the Year from Americana Honors. She's collaborated with Sheryl Crow, Steve Earle, Jakob Dylan and others.

Leventhal is a Grammy Award-winning musician, producer, songwriter and recording engineer. As a musician, he has performed with Cash, as well as Dolly Parton, Elvis Costello, Paul Simon, Susan Tedeschi and others. In 1998 he won Record and Song of the Year Grammys for producing and co-writing the song, ” Sunny Came Home,” recorded by Shawn Colvin.

Tickets to Rosanne Cash with Jon Leventhal are $46 for adults, $44 for seniors and $36 for College of DuPage students and youth. First- and second-row tickets are $71 for adults, $69 for seniors and $61 for College of DuPage students and youth.
