Get your tickets for live auction, dinner Sept. 10
Tickets are now available for the “Bulldogs Unleashed” live auction and dinner reception, to be held Saturday, Sept. 10, at the Fox Valley Country Club, 2500 N. River Road in North Aurora. Tickets can be purchased online at www.bulldogsunleashed.org.
Bulldogs Unleashed is a collaborative fundraising effort among the Batavia Foundation for Educational Excellence, the Batavia Parks Foundation and the Batavia Public Library Foundation. Tickets for the dinner and live auction are $75 a person or $750 per table with hors d’oeuvres, dinner appetizers, carving stations, live entertainment and an open bar.
This summer’s communitywide art exhibit, “Bulldogs Unleashed,” was launched June 10 with a public “unleashing” of the bulldogs before all 25 were placed throughout Batavia. Of the 25 bulldogs, 14 will be available for live auction. In addition, there will be seven great raffle prizes, including the chance to win one of the three 17-inch commemorative bulldogs — Sport, Quarry and Abundance.
“The live auction and dinner reception is going to be a tremendous fundraiser for all three organizations involved in Bulldogs Unleashed,” said Steve McKenna, steering committee chairman for Bulldogs Unleashed. “We’re looking forward to a packed evening and a great civic event that will continue the spirit of this wonderful cultural event.”
Raffle tickets are one for $20 or six for $100, while another way to show your support is to purchase Bulldogs Unleashed T-shirts, note cards and posters, all currently available at the Batavia Park District offices on Wilson Street. All Bulldogs Unleashed products will be for sale the night of the live auction, as well.
Join us in celebrating all things Batavia and take advantage of the opportunity to be a part of this great community art project. All proceeds from the night’s event will go toward improving the quality of life in Batavia via the Batavia Foundation for Educational Excellence, Batavia Public Library Foundation and Batavia Parks Foundation.
Bulldogs Unleashed has several goals, the most important of which is to promote “all things Batavia” through an encouraged sense of pride, spirit and loyalty. It is a celebration of the cultural liveliness and quality of life that all residents in Batavia have come to know and love. Local artists also benefit as the new exhibit will help celebrate their work.
