Bridge golf outing nets $57,000
The Bridge Youth & Family Services hosted the Peter D. Cunneen Memorial Golf Classic & Spa Day on Aug. 8 at Inverness Golf Club.Co-chaired by Richard L. Bokor, Gerald D. Chapman, and Stephen D. Whited, the event raised more than $57,000 for the programs and services of The Bridge.Despite the rain, 66 golfers enjoyed an 18-hole scramble at the picturesque Inverness Golf Club. Eric Eimen, Dennis Hanson, Jack Lloyd, and Joe Petricca won the event.
After golf, attendees enjoyed a five-star dinner and were moved by the story of 12- year-old Cheyenne. Cheyenne told guests about how The Bridge has impacted her life after the death of her mother 2frac12; years ago.
Golfers had the opportunity to sample specialty beverages and treats from Agio Italian Bistro.
Several generous sponsors helped make the day a success, including Gold Level Sponsor Schneider Electric, who also provided more than 20 volunteers for the day.
The Bridge Youth Family Services, founded in 1965, is dedicated to helping troubled kids and kids in trouble lead happier, more successful lives, regardless of their ability to pay for services.
