Bird hikes show the best of the fall migration

Get out and enjoy fall migration with Barrington-area bird expert Wendy Paulson during a series of bird hikes at local natural areas.

Walks are free and open to the public though spaces are limited and RSVPs are required. Waterproof boots are strongly recommended for these hikes. Don’t forget your binoculars!

타 Sept. 9, 7:30 a.m. Bakers Lake Younghusband Prairie. Meet at Younghusband Prairie parking lot, just east of Barrington Prairie Middle School on Dundee Road.

타 Sept. 30, 7:30 a.m. Penny Road Pond/Hidden Pond/Oak Bluff. Meet at Penny Road Pond parking lot, less than a mile west of Old Sutton/Penny Road intersection.

타 Oct. 21, 8:30 a.m. Galloping Hill. Meet at Penny Road Pond parking lot, less than a mile west of Old Sutton/Penny Road intersection.

타 Oct. 28, 8:30 a.m. Bakers Lake. Meet at Beese Park, east end of Cornell Avenue.
