Illinois rebooting professional licenses website

Associated Press

SPRINGFIELD — The website that contains information on state-regulated professions such as physicians and accountants is undergoing a makeover.

The Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation site went offline Friday night and will return with updated features Monday morning.

The site will be designed to give consumers more useable information about licensed professionals and businesses. They include barbers, banks, veterinarians, and architects.

Officials say it will be easier to navigate.

It will also be more convenient to find license applications, renewal forms and other information needed by agency-regulated professions to comply with state law.
