New Gurnee playground unveiled
Gurnee Park District officials plan to host a ceremony on Saturday, Aug. 27 unveiling a new playground. The grand opening will be at 11:30 a.m. at Village Park near Continental Drive. Open to the pubic, the ceremony on Gurnee’s east side is expected to have local officials participating in a ribbon-cutting ceremony. Village Park is on the west side of Delany Road off of Continental Drive. It encompasses 138 acres including preserved wetlands and natural grass prairies.
