Alfred Hitchcock started directing silent films in 1927, and his many movies have stood the test of time. For fans of the master of suspense, this four-DVD collection includes six of his silent films, many of his early British films, two television shows, movie trailers and a documentary. The films include: “The Lady Vanishes,” “Secret Agent,” “The 39 Steps,” “The Man Who Knew Too Much,” “The Skin Game,” “Blackmail.” “Rich and Strange,” “Number Seventeen,” “Jamaica Inn,” “Sabotage” and more.
“Medical Center: Season One”
Available on DVD for the first time, this influential medical drama series gained a loyal audience during its TV run from 1969 to 1976. The show dealt with issues and procedures of the day, and centered around the compassionate Dr. Joe Gannon (Chad Everett) and Chief of Staff Dr. Paul Lochner (James Daly). The six-dic set includes 26 episodes, and you'll catch lots of famous guest stars including William Shatner, O.J. Simpson, Martin Sheen, Tyne Daly, Dyan Cannon and Cicely Tyson.
“Peter, Paul and Mary: 25th Anniversary Concert”
One of the biggest groups in folk music during the 1960s was Peter, Paul and Mary. Peter Yarrow, Paul Stookey and Mary Travers brought their great vocals together, along with wonderful chemistry, to make up this legendary group. Their anniversary concert was recorded live in 1986 at the Tennessee Performing Arts Center in Nashville and aired as their first PBS TV special. Fans will once again enjoy their music with songs such as “If I Had A Hammer,” “Blowin' In the Wind,” “Puff The Magic Dragon,” “Where Have All The Flowers Gone,” “The Wedding Song,” “Leaving On A Jet Plane” and more.
