Semi crashes into Indiana cemetery
ZIONSVILLE, Ind. (AP) — A semitrailer barreled through a cemetery after running off Interstate 65 in central Indiana.
The semi went through a corn field before entering the grounds of Lincoln Memorial Gardens near Zionsville in the crash early Thursday. WTHR-TV reports the semi knocked over numerous headstones before coming to a stop at the edge of a lake in the area just northwest of Indianapolis.
The Boone County sheriff’s department says the driver apparently fell asleep and suffered some cuts and bruises in the crash.
