Lombard water tower ready for new paint job

The faded Lombard water tower north of North Avenue will be repainted. The village has approved a $318,000 contract with Tecorp Inc., of Joliet to paint the 113-foot tall tower, built in 1955 and last painted in 1997.

The tower will be power washed and painted two-tone white and lilac with the village logo on the south side.
