Ample blame in debt crisis mess
Jesus said, “Of those to whom much has been given much shall be required.” Christian conservatives persist in telling us that this nation was founded upon Christian principles. If that’s true, we should expect those most richly blessed to contribute a bit more to the well being of all.
In Congress’ disgraceful failure to deal with our budget/deficit problem, there is ample blame to go around. But the most culpable incompetents are those who refuse to acknowledge the difference between new taxes and the elimination of tax breaks for those who don’t really need them.
