Nominate Arlington Hts. employers who hire disabled

The Arlington Heights Commission for Citizens with Disabilities is pleased to announce the third annual Disability Employment Awareness Award.

The commission wishes to honor an Arlington Heights employer, known for proactively hiring and employing citizens with disabilities, in recognition of Congress’ designation of October as Disability Employment Awareness Month.

The commission seeks nominations from the community at large and self nominations from Arlington Heights employers who are worthy of such recognition. The award will be presented by the Arlington Heights Village President Arlene Mulder at an October village board meeting in recognition of Disability Employment Awareness Month.

Nominations will be accepted until Sept. 2. Nomination forms are available by reading the news article pertaining to the awards on the village’s website, www.vah.com, or a form can be picked up in the Health Services Department, on the first floor of Village Hall, 33 S. Arlington Heights Road.
