Tuscany sees red
August is National Tomato Month and Tuscany is honoring the big, red fruit with Penne All'Arrabiata on special for $17. Created by executive chef Bolla Loza, the dish features homemade sauce, penne pasta, seared sea scallops, garlic, herbs and hot pepper.

Food Network picks Pequod's
The cheese pizza at Pequod's Pizza won over editors of the Food Network Magazine and recently earned it a place in an upcoming special “50 States, 50 Pizzas.” The deep dish pies are baked in cast iron skillets lined with a sprinkling of mozzarella for a crispy, caramelized cheese crust. The magazine is on newsstands now.

Hall of Fame pizza
At the request of Chicago Bears football great Richard Dent, Giordano's Pizza recently served its stuffed pizza at Dent's induction to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio. The legendary player requested the pizzas to honor his connection to the Chicago area.
