BP Plc said a coker at its Texas City, Texas, refinery was operating normally after a relief valve lifted.
The valve lifted at about noon local time for several minutes, according to Daren Beaudo, a Houston-based spokesman for the company.
“It lasted for a matter of minutes,” said Beaudo in a telephone interview. “The coker returned to normal operations.”
