Blue-ribbon panel to tackle heady issues

The crisis is here and just what is being done to correct the problems: 1) Give a Sunday sermon in the halls of our giant business — the legislature, or 2) Continue giveaway programs that don’t necessarily work. Since when do you continue throwing money at problems when you are heavily in debt, Senate?

I have always been a registered Republican, a big however, I am that apparently ugly word — a moderate. In my current many decade existence, I just can’t figure that either side is very good at doing the required business if the government; pay the bills first then try new programs or extend proven oldies as funds allow.

Everyone feels they have to show how strong and mighty they are, and that doesn’t smell very good! The many millionaires in the House and Senate say sure they’ll give up some deductions and pay more taxes; however there are far more non-millionaires throughout the U.S. who might just say: pay the bills and get on with legislating where necessary.

I just can’t phantom being allowed to treat my mortgage lender, Discover card, phone bill, etc. in the callous and reckless manner that is currently being shown by our leaders. including the president.

When this Democratic/Republican mess gets cleaned up, I suggest forming a blue ribbon committee, much like the base-closing one. Let them take on the heady problems after which they bring their final edict to both houses for a straight up or down vote, including the presidential signing.

I say join Mr. Boehner, you so-called tea party Republicans, plus those Republicans and Democrats in the Senate who do not trust Senator Reid or Representative Pelosi. If you tea party Republicans keep it up, the Republican House leadership could be lost for ever so many years.
