Lincolnshire Art Festival draws a variety of artists

The annual Lincolnshire Art Festival will be Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 13-14, at the Village Green shopping center on the northeast corner of Milwaukee Avenue and Olde Half Day Road.

The festival will run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days. Parking is available at the center and nearby.

Featuring the work of approximately 150 artists working in various mediums, the juried festival is free to attend.

Painters, sculptors, wood carvers and crafters have participated in previous festivals, with their creations for sale to the public.

Art demonstrations and talks are scheduled for both days. Discussions about working with metals, wood and mixed media are among those planned. There also will be musical entertainment.

Several vendors will be selling food, including Chesterfield Food, Hey Brothers Ice Cream, Maui Wowi coffee and smoothies and Smalls Sweets and Treats.
