Glen Ellyn searching for public works director

Glen Ellyn officials have put out the word that they’re looking for a new public works director.

The village board voted this week to hire the Voorhees Associates search firm for $15,650 to assist in the recruitment. It’s the same firm that conducted a nationwide search for Glen Ellyn’s village manager, Mark Franz, who started last month.

Officials previously said it would be up to the village manager, once hired, to find new public works and finance directors.

Joe Caracci left the public works position in January to pursue a similar role in Bensenville and Jon Batek left to become Carol Stream’s finance director.

Jeff Perrigo is serving as Glen Ellyn’s interim public works director and Larry Noller as its interim finance director.
