Teen accused of killing Kenosha bicyclist

KENOSHA — A teenager faces a felony charge in the death of a bicyclist who was struck and killed in Kenosha County.

Eighteen-year-old Quashae Taylor is scheduled in Kenosha County Circuit Court Monday on a charge of homicide by the negligent operation of a vehicle. A criminal complaint says Taylor struck and killed 21-year-old Devin Kunich of Kenosha as he rode his bike along county Highway H shortly before 1 a.m. Sunday in Pleasant Prairie.

The complaint says Taylor told an officer she looked down for a second, something hit her car and she looked around, but didn't see anything. The complaint says Taylor also told police she received three calls from her boyfriend on her cell phone about the same time as the crash.

WGTD radio reports (http://bit.ly/o0OuQA ) police didn't find any lighting on the bike.
