Hoffman Jaycees announce 2011 scholarship winners

The Hoffman Estates Jaycees announced the winners of its 2011 college scholarships. Scholarships were awarded to well-rounded individuals based on merit, leadership skills and community service.

Sarah Kuhl, a 2011 graduate of Fremd High School, and Daniel Vanek, a 2011 graduate of Hoffman Estates High School, each received a $250 scholarship at the July 20, Jaycee meeting, which was also attended by Hoffman Estates Mayor Bill McLeod. Congratulations to both students.

The Hoffman Estates Chapter of the Jaycees is one of 2,000 local chapters throughout the United States.

The Jaycees provide individuals between the age of 21 and 41 the opportunity to develop personal and leadership skills while serving their community.
