Zoo animals at Schaumburg Township picnic

Brookfield Zoo animals will be at the Schaumburg Township Disability Services Annual Picnic, which begins at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 6, at Maple Park in Hoffman Estates. Attendees, who had to preregister, will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of hands-on nature and exploration activities while also learning about their local wildlife at the “investigation station.” The visit was arranged by Democratic state representatives Fred Crespo of Hoffman Estates and Michelle Mussman of Schaumburg.
