'Reading Green' to discuss 'The Dirty Life' Aug. 18

Would you give up your career as a journalist in Manhattan to start a cooperative, self-sustaining farm with the man you love?

That is the story that author Kristin Kimball tells in "The Dirty Life: A Memoir of Farming, Food and Love." It is also the latest selection for the "Reading Green" book discussion group at Arlington Heights Memorial Library, 500 N. Dunton Ave.

Books are available for checkout, but you don't have to read the book to attend.

The "Reading Green" book discussion meets on Thursday, Aug. 18, from 7-9 p.m., and again on Saturday, Aug. 27 from 10 a.m.-noon. Register at www.ahml.info or call (847) 392-0100.
