Arlington Heights man sentenced to probation for drug possession
What was to have been a preliminary hearing instead became a sentencing hearing after an Arlington Heights man pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance Friday in a Rolling Meadows courtroom.
In exchange for a guilty plea, a Cook County judge sentenced Nicholas Eich, 22, to two years probation and 22 days in Cook County Jail. Possession of a controlled substance is a class four felony punishable by one to three years in prison. Probation is also an option.
Cook County Sheriff’s police officers recovered 25 Vicodin pills, along with other drugs, when they arrested Eich earlier this month.
