National Night Out events Aug. 2 in Naperville neighborhoods

Naperville City Council members, Naperville Fire, Police, Public Works, Electric and Water Department personnel will visit local neighborhoods as part of the 16th annual National Night Out event from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 2

Neighborhoods throughout Naperville will join communities nationwide by participating in the City's 16th annual National Night Out event.

To celebrate National Night Out, all residents are encouraged to lock their doors, turn on their outside lights and spend the evening outdoors with their neighbors. Members of the Naperville Fire, Police, Public Works, Electric and Water Departments are scheduled to visit events that have pre-registered with the City.

They will be visiting 33 Naperville neighborhoods. A full list of participating neighborhoods is available on the city's website at www.naperville.il.us/nno.aspx.
