Watch the Illinois Open in Hawthorn Woods

The Hawthorn Woods Country Club hosts the 62nd Illinois Open beginning today through Wednesday, July 27. The event and parking is free to the public. Walking only is allowed on the course and cellphones must be on buzz. The first tee time is 7:30 a.m. and afternoon groups start at 12:30 p.m. The tournament is open to all professionals and amateurs in Illinois with a handicap of 10 or less. The field is 156 players in a 54-hole stroke play format. All proceeds benefit the Illinois PGA Foundation. Hawthorn Woods Country Club is on Gilmer Road south of Hawley Street.
