Lombard Fire responds to house fire, no injuries

LOMBARD, Illinois— The Lombard Fire Department responded to an early morning house fire in the 400 block of West Wilson July 24.

The Lombard Police Department assisted in evacuating the residents and no injuries were reported.

Upon arrival, Lombard firefighters responded to smoke showing from the roof. The greatest extent of the fire damage appears to be from the kitchen and above the ceiling of the kitchen.

Damages to the structure and contents are estimated at approximately $40,000-$50,000. The fire is currently under investigation by the Lombard Fire Investigation Unit.

Assistance was provided by Oak Brook, Villa Park and York Center fire departments.
