At a glance: The White Sox are at home for the first time in the second half. They were 5-3 on road stops at Detroit, Kansas City and Cleveland coming out of the all-star break. The Sox won two of three against the first-place Tigers at Comerica Park to open the second half. Phil Humber was initially scheduled to start the opener vs. Detroit but he’s been moved to the bullpen for now after Saturday’s game at Cleveland was rained out. Juan Pierre is batting .367 over his last 22 games. The Sox are 1-7 in their last eight home games against the Tigers. Detroit won three of four at Minnesota in advance of this series.
